How do I store it?
Loose, not compressed. Keep it in a large cotton or mesh sack at home — leaving down squashed in its stuff sack for months permanently damages the loft. Only compress it for travel.
How do I wash it?
Sparingly, and never in a normal detergent. Use a down-specific wash, a gentle cycle. Most trips need nothing more than airing it out.
Can I zip two together?
Yes — two bags of the same fill weight zip into a double. Check the zip orientation when ordering.
Is it better than a synthetic bag?
For warmth-to-weight and packed size, yes, and it lasts longer. The trade-off is that down loses loft when it gets soaked, so keep it dry. Synthetic handles wet better but is heavier and bulkier.
How warm is the down really?
It's 95% white goose down at 800 fill power. That's a genuinely high grade — it traps more air per gram than cheaper down, which is why even the winter bag weighs only about 2kg.
